The Kidnapping of Luna Frederick

Hi, my name is Alabama Rockefeller and I’m a student at MIT. I want to tell you about the recent kidnapping of my best friend and roommate Luna. It all began on what seemed to be a very nice day, the sun was shining and the birds were chirping. I came home after my 3 o’clock class to find police officers surrounding my apartment. I immediately asked a police officer (Officer Scott) “What is going on here?” Officer Scott replied, “A Luna Frederick was kidnapped, why are you here?” I said “Luna Frederick is my roommate, I live here.” “In that case, would you mind answering some questions?” “Of course! Luna is my best friend and I would do anything to find her!” “Then would you please sit with me outside?” “Sure!”

Officer Scott asked me some questions about when I had last seen Luna, if she was acting weird, and other stuff like that. I told him I had last saw her yesterday, in class while we were working on our science project. After class I went back to our apartment, while she kept working on our science project.. I guess I fell asleep and woke up 10 minutes before class, I thought she had already left, so I went on with my day and then there I was. He thanked me for answering the questions, and that he would try his hardest to find Luna. The one thing he didn't know was that I would be taking Luna’s safety into my own hands.

I decided to try to find her myself. I decided to first look in the science work areas, as that was where I last saw her. I guess it's time to tell you what our science project was. Luna and I are making a portal into a different dimension! It wasn’t working and I was ready to go to bed but Luna was determined to finish. My first guess is, she fell asleep there but was hiding so no one saw her. But, it's definitely possible that she got it to work and she decided to go in, but just got stuck there.

I got to the science lab, and started calling her name, I suddenly hear: “Help! Help!” I realize, that's Luna! When I look over to see the portal open, I realize that I was right! I was really happy, she got the portal to work and I figured out where she was. But then I realize that she is in a dimension I know nothing about! I know I need to save her, so I step into the portal, and start falling.

Hello, readers of the turtle post, I'm very sorry that it has been so long. Right as I type I am in a mystery mania summer camp. Now you may be wondering what 'Mystery Mania" camp is, well, it's basically where we solve mysteries. We also make a project to show off what we have done all week. I chose to create a project with my new friends Mimi, Seth and Katherine. (I will attach the link below)

I actually have some cool things happening in the next few weeks. Starting today my parents are leaving to do a week long bike ride across Iowa. Its called Ragbrai. So, this week I have a photography camp and my grandparents are coming to stay with me. I am super pumped to spend the week with my grandparents!!

The week after that I am going to an island off the coast of Washington state to visit family. Among them are some of my cousins that live in the Netherlands that I only see once a year!



Well, I have decided that I will post twice per week. I will post a short story that I wrote every Monday, and a weekly update every Friday. Thanks, and I hope to see you on Monday!

May 2

Hi, so today was awesome! We had MCA testing (a standard test) and I thought I did really well. I am now a vegetarian, so yeah. I decided to change because I watched a goat being decapitated on television, and I felt so bad for it I cried. 

My piano recital was yesterday and I did amazing! In athletic news, the track and field meet is coming up and I'm dead set on doing the 400meter. Also I played basketball with my friends and we crushed them!

May 1

Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted in in a while, I've been really busy. On Monday I had a choir/orchestra concert. (it went awesome by the way) Unfortunately, we had to take a picture for choir, we stood there for 20 minutes just to take a few pictures! It was horrible. On Tuesday I had a double pizza party. We had a party for the end of Math Masters and watched some hilarious videos. Then, on the same night there was the kindergarten orientation. I don't have any siblings, but the student council went if they could. Of course there was a pizza party then too for participating. And then on Thursday I had a sleepover with 3 of my best friends. Now today (Sunday) I have a piano recital and I'm really nervous. 


Well, I need to go shoe shopping so... bye! I'll try to post again soon!

April 23

Hi guys! I had a great day at school yesterday. Well, I failed at a card trick, but otherwise it was great. I played "See You Again" on the piano at music class and then one of my best friends played a song that she wrote. (it was amazing, but not quite as amazing as her). Another one of my best friends received a saxophone solo and I'm so happy for her!!!
  Well, we had the Math Masters competition today. Our team got 7th place. The people we were competing against were very good. My mom and I went shopping at Kohl's and we got a few things including a megaphone. I also got a dress for my piano recital next week. I love it so much!! Tonight I'm going to a studio to watch a TV show live with my mom and my friend.

Well I don't have much else to say, except for I'm going to have a weekly poll. Comment if you want it to be more often than that.

April 22- My First Post!!

  Hi everybody! As some of you know, my name is Grace. I'm super excited to be showing you guys about my life!! 

  Well, first things first, my life is amazing!! I get lots of great opportunities everyday! I have great parents and awesome friends. Ok, well I'll tell you a little about me. 

    I LOVE math, reading and science (which may sound weird but it's true!) and my absolute favorite animal are TURTLES!! I love them!! I used to have a turtle necklace that I wore everyday, but I just recently lost it. Fortunately thanks to the internet I found it and ordered a new one!! I'm super excited for it to come!! I'm guessing you know by now that I love animals too. I have a pet dog (Ripley) and a guinea pig (Powder).

   A little about my school life. I'm a 5th grader and I love school. A big thing at my school right now are "Rubik's Cubes" I don't know how to solve them and I don't really want to either.  Comment if Rubik's Cubes are a big thing where you live. 
    I'm also involved in a lot of other things. I am on the student council board at my school, I'm in the All District Orchestra, the All District Choir and Math Masters (a group of kids that are very good at math and compete against others). Speaking of Math Masters, I have a competition on April 23!! I'm super excited about it!
